First Promo - Now, catch your breath

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, now that I'm calmed down just a little, here's the first trailer for Karan and Shah Rukh's My Name is Khan! I can't help but be overwhelmed by the anticipation and excitement of it all and if the trailer is anything to go by this movie is going to be AMAZING!!!!!! Not a terrorist movie necessarily, as some predicted it would be, but a look at what 9/11 did to the regular muslims in America and how it perhaps changed their lives forever, with a little sideline about what life is like for people with Asperger's.

I'm not embarrassed to say that the trailer made me tear up a little.

February 12 can not come fast enough!!!!!!!!!!

The trailer looks awesome! Is KJo finally into making intelligent films?! Though I am bit scared too - innocent people being victimised by state machinery, in the name of security can so easily happen to any one of us. So the subject hits rather close to heart. Lets see if the film proves to be as good as the trailer.

I think it looks amazing (and intelligent) - definitely not your usual K.Jo offering. As long as it doesn't turn into the kind of movie I've hear Kurbaan turned out to be, I think it will do very well. Plus I think it could end up being on par for Shah Rukh with his performance in Swades.

Also, I hope, even though it looks quite serious, that we get at least one lovely song picturization from Karan!

As I said earlier somewhere, there were parts I loved and parts that made me go 'meh...'. I don't know if it's lived up to my colossal expectations. I would say that it is definitely one of the most impressive promos I've seen this year, though I think Wake Up Sid, Kaminey, and Love Aaj Kal trailers were more impressive. =/ I think speaking the language might help me form a solid opinion on it. :p

I'm still definitely going to see it, though. I mean, it has SRK and Kajol!! <333 And Shah Rukh looks soooo sweet in it. I thought it was weird that everyone kept calling him 'Khan', though. :S I mean, he has a first name. :p

Really rhilex!!? I thought you would be all over this one! I can't say there was anything in the trailer that made me go 'meh', but you are right about some movie's trailers being better than the movie themselves. I hope that isn't the case here.
I suppose the Khan thing is just emphasising the fact that he has a Muslim last name (which is the basis for the film afterall).
My countdown is slowly ticking away.

This looks REALLY good... was a bit worried by some of the less than enthusiastic reactions to the trailer on the web, but I think it looks great... like bollyviewer says, I hope it lives up to the trailer!

Tady Rox! - 1 month, 23 days (according to my facebook countdown!).

Jules - After all the hype up with it being clumped with Avatar and Fox buying distribution rights I will be VERY disappointed if it's not shown at Galaxy.

Daddy's Girl - It's a challenge for every movie to live up to it's trailer I suppose, but I have the utmost faith in Karan and really believe the movie will be absolutely terrific. I haven't heard much reaction since the trailer came out, is it mostly negative?

lol...I will have to put up a countdown on mine's too...

I've been feeling indifferent since I heard there were going to be no picturizations. After all, it's a crime to have SRK in a movie and not have him dance. Or, well, maybe that's my own little world...

Anyway, you finally got to me to watch the trailer, and darn it, now I really want to see it! I think I need to wait until someone can tell me if it has a happy ending or not, thought, because if it ends tragically, I need to be psychologically prepared. :)

Oh no, I didn't realize there would be no picturizations, but then again wouldn't a song and dance sequence feel so out of place in such a serious film? I can't imagine Karan would make a film without one though, especially when we know that Shah Rukh and Kajol's characters get married in the film. Bummer.
Well, I'm glad I was the one to get you to see the trailer. I still think it looks amazing (I've watched it a dozen times or more already). I'm hoping to see it on opening day, so I'll let you know if it's a kleenex movie or not!

Most of the reaction I've seen on the web so far has been a little 'meh'. I'm really excited - I'm so ready to see Shahrukh and Kajol onscreen again, and the story looks really interesting....

I wouldn't put too much stock into reaction on the web, since there's no way that those people could have an informed opinion since the movie's not out yet. The story looks amazing and you are so right...Shah Rukh & Kajol = magic.
