So many movies, so little time

There is SO MUCH going on right now in Bollyland I can't seem to keep up. Today in my travels, I found lots and lots of goodies including the video of remix version of Tu Jaane Na from Ranbir and Katrina's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. I love Ranbir's nerd avatar. So adorable, just like this movie's going to be I hope!

While we're talking about Katrina, I hadn't seen this one yet from De Dana Dan. I love all of Katrina's looks. The movie sounds pretty funny too.

I also came across this little news bit about Aishwarya and Abhishek's Lux commercial. While it doesn't show the commercial (just poor quality excerpts), I thought that the host of the show it came from was hilarious. Wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah!

I know I'm not first to show these, but couldn't resist posting the new movie posters for Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year and 3 Idiots.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Shah Rukh's recent honour from South Korea. For his contribution to art, culture and cinema, he was presented by the South Korean Government an honorary belt in taekwondo and given the title of honorary ambassador for culture and tourism. Just another feather in his overloaded cap. Now, someone please make a movie featuring Akshay and SRK as martial arts BFF's. I'm sure some stunt director could make it look like SRK knows what he's doing!

And, lastly, another SRK tidbit, and the reason I wish I lived in an area where I could actually get magazines. *sobs knowing that she'll never get the Kajol/SRK Vogue from last month*

Can I just say again how happy I am that I can once again see movies in the theatre (even though it still requires planning and 3 hours on the road). Yay!

Have a great day everyone!

Earlier we had to plan and undertake long trips to see hindi movies on the big screen Down Under. However things have changed for the better this millineum (thanks to increasing desi immigration and the student pop)- movies are screened on the big screen in local theatres where regular hollywood movies are shown. In fact most hindi movies are now released in a big chain right near my work place (2 mins - facing front door!). Perhaps better times are around the corner for you too when the local distributors realise the $ potential of hindi movies!

BTW, my best friend from school lives in calgary

And I already have so many "new" oldies to catch up on, as well!

Cant wait for Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Dastan - sounds like fun.

SRK looks super debonair in that pic, but he seriously needs to start putting on some weight - he's too thin now!

Anon - I wish we lived closer. But I will take a trip into the city to watch those movies I can't wait for. I will be heading in to see 3 Idiots and My Name is Khan for sure!

bollyviewer - I will never catch up, and I'm okay with that! I'm not a huge fan of Katrina, but I think that Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Dastan has the potential to be very good.
As for Shah Rukh, he does look incredibly thin, but he will always be amazingly handsome to me! It's a sign he's working tooo hard.

Oh man..it's really difficult to keep up with so many movies..thanks to the multiplex strike we had in May. that said, most of them are turning out to be turkeys. I have watched only one decent movie since June and that's Wake Up Sid. pathetic!

looking forward to azab prem, rocket singh and 3 idiots. they have lovely posters.

Bhargav - I'm most looking forward to 3 Idiots for sure - I don't know how Aamir can go wrong! I just received some of the movies that came out right after the strike but have only watched Kambakhht Ishq (which I didn't think was as bad as I was prepared for). If only all movies were as good as their posters!
